A family owned and run business was established in 1973 by Gil Paterson, formerly a Technical Sales Manager for an Automotive Paint company.
Our Management and Sales teams have experience in all areas of the refinish and repair sectors coming from Bodyshop, Industrial Coatings, Manufacturer, Paint Company and Distribution backgrounds, many of whom have been with us for in excess of 25 years. Our branches are strategically located to enable us to service 95% of Scotland.
Gil's are specialists in the automotive body repair sector, including commercial vehicles. Our Industrial Division services Aviation, Oil, Marine and General Industry such as shop fitting, window frame manufacture , industrial plastics & PVC, kitchen manufacture, industrial glass, building and medical. In short we can supply paint and coatings for any substrate.
Unlike most of our competitors we do not service hard parts or forecourt business, making Gils Scotland’s premier paint and coatings supplier.
We are suppliers of Glasurit, Dupont, Spies Hecker, Lechler and VeroMetal. We also have a full range of dry goods, consumables, tools, valeting and janitorial products, alll from the market leaders. Products and services exclusive to Gils that are guaranteed to save the customer time and money.
